Bellevue Primary Bathroom Remodel With Walk-In Shower
Bellevue bathroom remodel replacing a dated 1990s layout with a frameless glass walk-in shower, floating double vanity, heated porcelain tile floors, and cleaner daily function.
Bellevue bathroom remodel case study: walk-in shower, vanity, and heated tile
This Bellevue primary bathroom remodel replaced a cramped tub-and-shower layout with a larger walk-in shower, frameless glass, heated porcelain tile floors, and a floating double vanity.
Primary intent
Trade an underused tub for a daily-use shower with better access and storage.
Best upgrade
A large-format porcelain shower with frameless glass and a linear drain.
Budget control
Kept plumbing changes targeted instead of rebuilding the entire suite footprint.
Daily value
Better shower space, easier cleaning, warmer floors, and a more useful vanity.
Before & After
The transformation speaks for itself

The Challenge
The master bathroom had a cramped layout with a rarely-used soaking tub, outdated tile, and a small shower stall. Grout was stained, fixtures were corroded, and the vanity was falling apart.
Our Solution
We removed the tub to create a spacious 5x3 walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling large-format porcelain tile and a linear drain. Installed a 60-inch floating double vanity with quartz top, frameless glass shower enclosure, heated floors, and modern brushed nickel fixtures throughout.
What Homeowners Should Learn From This Remodel
These are the details that separate a clean remodeling plan from a vague quote.
Waterproofing came first
For bathroom remodeling, tile is the visible finish but waterproofing is the system that protects the project. We planned membrane details, shower slope, drain location, and glass dimensions before tile installation.
Bellevue homeowner concern
Primary bathrooms in Bellevue homes often carry resale expectations. The remodel needed to feel premium without spending money on low-use features.
How to compare a bid like this
Ask whether shower glass, waterproofing system, valve trim, vanity top, heated floor thermostat, fan work, painting, and warranty are included.
